Wheeling's Braden in Unique Race For Championship

Wheeling's Travis Braden is in a unique race this Saturday night. Braden, the Fast Midwest Points Champion, is tied for the lead atop the Legends Series National Points Championship standings with Harrison Rhodes. In this Saturday's final race, whomever finishes higher, wins the National Points Championship. "It's a very unique situaiton," said Braden at Quaker Steak & Lube at the Highands. "I would love to win the race, but all I have to do is beat him." So will he be aggressive or just keep his nose clean? "I'll race aggressively, but maybe just stay near the front or in a safe spot so I don't get in any trouble," said Braden, a 15-year old sophomore at Wheeling Park High School. The race will be staged on the three-eights mile Lanier National Speedway, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Braden has won 31 races this summer, Rhoades has won 33. They each have 2,500 points Braden races for Braden's A-1 Racing.
