OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) - Hoorah 2 Heroes 3rd annual Hillraiser Challenge is underway overnight in Ohio County.
The race began on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and will continue until 6:00 a.m. on Sunday.
72 athletes are racing this year in four-person relay teams. Each person will run three to four miles per lap, up to four laps.
Only one member of the team is permitted on the course at a time.
This year's race benefits the Augusta Levy Learning Center.
Hoorah 2 Heroes Law Enforcement Team is inspired by first responders and those in the military and honors people that give service and sacrifice to their fellow humans all over the world.
The starting hill this year is dedicated to the late Ohio County Deputy Dean Motta.
The Ohio County Commission, Toriseva Law, Straub Automotive, and Total Athlete are sponsoring the event.
