Local church offers grief share program

MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. - If you have recently experienced a loss and are having trouble working through your grief, there is a group in Moundsville that may be able to help you.

The Grief Share program at Moundsville Baptist Church consists of 13 weeks of sessions, and organizers encourage you to attend for at least three weeks.

Each session is from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. on Mondays, and you can join at any time.

This is a faith-based program that utilizes workbooks, journaling, video and group discussion.

"We have a group discussion where people are open to just talk about their feelings, how they are dealing with their grief, the stage of grief that they're in, and we just try to listen and just given them hope and encouragement so they can progress through their grief," said program facilitator Linda King.

The program is part of the church's outreach ministry and is free.

If you would like more information, you can call the church at 304-845-5316 or visit MoundsvilleBaptist.org.
