Graduation is pushed back after "senior skip" day at Valley High School.
By Steve Mazure
The Wetzel County School Board has approved a request by the principal to push graduation back two days as a result of an organized one-day "senior skip" day. Many students and parents are upset--some saying their already printed graduation invitations that have the wrong date. But the principal says they were given fair warning. It appears close to forty students took part in skip day and thirteen did not. Those thirteen can take exams early and have an extra day off--as well as use the school's printing facilities to redo invitations.
