In Lewisburg it appears the source of a gas leak has been found.
According to Fire Chief Wayne Pennington - the premium gasoline tank at Simms Exxon failed a pressure test.
The tank was opened up and a 4 inch crack was revealed.
The crack has been repaired.
The NEXT STEP is for the DEP to conduct an environmental impact study on the surrounding soil and area.
Business owners on South Jefferson Street reportedly first noticed the smell of gas back in February.
