Judge has issued a gag order in the case.

KINGWOOD -- A special session of the grand jury convened Tuesday morning to indict a Preston County man.

James Degasperin, 36, is accused of beating his pregnant girlfriend, Lori Casteel to death with a baseball bat.

He is also accused of beating Casteel's 4-year old son Collin to death and shooting him in the chest. Casteel was six months pregnant when she was murdered.

Their bodies were found inside a car outside Degasperin's home in April.

At his preliminary hearing, a State Trooper testified that the night of the murders DeGasperin told him, "I'm a really good guy, I just snapped."

He was a teacher at the Bruceton School.

Degasperin is being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.

Earlier this year, a judge issued a gag order in the case.
