The city of White Sulphur Springs says it's ready.
The city has organized committee's, set goals, and designed a plan to become the next certified main street community in West Virginia.
But with the main street title comes competition and a lot of hard work.
In all, four towns in West Virginia are competing to be a main street community.
And right here in Greenbrier County they are Ronceverte and White Sulphur Springs.
Folks in White Sulphur Springs say they have an edge.
For one, the Greebrier resort and sporting club rest right at the foot of the town.
Already 34 businesses have moved to the town since the sporting club opened.
But still many empty store fronts and limited resources are found on main street.
