BARTON, Ohio -- A Martins Ferry, Ohio, teenager suffered a head injury Tuesday, after his dirt bike lost control on Belmont County Road Four near Barton, Ohio, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Dean F. Biggs, Jr., age 19, was headed north, lost control on a curve, causing the bike to skid on its side, a trooper said.

Joseph Sefsick, Jr., age 72, of Adena, Ohio, witnessed Biggs lose control and was able to stop before the bike came to a rest under the front end of his Chevy.

Biggs was not wearing a helmet when his head then struck a fence post, authorities added.

He was not coherent when taken to Wheeling Medical Park, the trooper said. His condition is not known.
