Wheeling -- West Virginia residents had a lot ot say on Tuesday, after Vice President Dick Cheney was at the National Press Club on Monday night and made an upsetting comment about the Mountain State.
Cheney was asked about his family lineage and later talked about how the name Cheney came from both sides of his family.
"So we had Cheney's on both sides of the family and we don't even live in West Virginia," said Cheney.
West Virginia State Delegate Orphy Klempa said he could not believe Cheney made that comment.
"I can't believe that somebody in that high of a position would make that type of a comment especially about a state that has supported his particular party in the past two elections," said Klempa.
"As a young voter you know it definitely turns you off," said Dane Malatinski of Wheeling.
"I don't think he should make comments about West Virginia if he doesn't live here," said Dottie Stoffle, Wheeling resident.
