FRENCH CREEK -- It is an annual tradition in Upshur County; finding out if French Creek Freddie sees his shadow or not.

Fans of Freddie gathered at the West Virginia Wildlife Center in French Creek, Monday, to find out.

Division of Natural Resources officials say Freddie did not see his shadow, so if his prediction is correct, an early spring will be coming to North Central West Virginia.
