MOUNDSVILLE -- West Vriginia Northern Panhandle Senator Jeff Kessler (D-Marshall) has made the decision to move up, politically.

Senator Kessler, of West Virginia's Second District, has decided to run for the state's highest position in 2012.

Kessler hopes to replace current Governor Joe Manchin after he finishes his second term as governor.

Under the state's constitution, no sitting governor can run for a third consecutive term.

As of 2012, Senator Kessler will have served the Second District for 15 years.

Cricket, do you even know what you are talking about? Senator Kessler is a very honest, upstanding individual that would be a great governor. Go Jeff Kesler, I will support you all the waay.

I wouldn't vote for him if he were the only one on the ballot. Our whole political system needs new blood not retreads that keep on running and running and running. He may be running for another office but he still has the same old ideas .That's what is wrong with the whole country. We need to see new ideas and people who are getting into office for the good of the people and not party cronies who are only running for more political power for their party. Kessler should quit running for " anything" and give some new blood a chance. As long as these familiar names keep running the sheeple who know nothing about how these politicians voted will vote for a familiar name. Term limits and new blood might be exactly what we need to actually do something good for the state and country.
