MORGANTOWN -- WVU Offensive Linemen Donnie Barclay and Chad Snodgrass were both injured in the annual gold blue game last weekend.
Barclay broke the fibula in his left leg and will miss 4 to 6 weeks of weight training. Stewart discussed that injury on Monday, “Barclay fractured the fibula in his left leg, a non-weight bearing bone, and the break was in a good position according to our team medical staff. He will be out 4-6 weeks to let the bone heal and then he will be x-rayed again to assure us that it is healing properly. If everything goes well, he will then be allowed to resume training in two months."
Chad Snodgrass fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot and will miss 6 to 8 weeks. Stewart said it will take Snodgrass longer to recover, “Snodgrass fractured the fifth metatarsal in his right foot. That is the bone on the right side of his foot near the little toe. He will be out 6-8 weeks to let it heal and then if everything goes well, he will be able to resume training in about 10 weeks.”
Both are expected to be healed and ready to go when fall camp opens in August.
