House of Friendship says Greater Living Space is in Demand
By Jerry Echemann
WHEELING -- It's the first major addition to Elmhurst since 1991. At that time, men were accepted for the first time, and the number of couples living in the assited living facility has grown.
Elmhurst almost always has a waiting list, so the need for a new wing was obvious. Suites are now offered for the first time because there is a growing demand for more living space.
For the first time, the House of Friendship now has a lobby. An open house is slated for Saturday between 1 - 4pm.
