MORRISTOWN, Ohio -- May 28, 29 and 30 is the Historic National Road Yard Sale all across Belmont County from Bridgeport to Hendrysburg.
It's 25 miles of tables full of antiques, collectibles, furniture, china, wicker, knick-knacks and more.
Sellers make money, buyers snag bargains, and everybody goes away satisfied.
"I enjoy getting to know the people," says Janet Wilson of Morristown, who holds a yard sale every year on this weekend. "Last year I had people from Florida, New York and Illinois."
Doc Householder, Director of the Belmont County Tourism Bureau, says there are still set-ups available for people who want to set up a table and sell their cast-offs.
"Over the years, you're just liable to see almost anything," Householder says. "People dig down in the basement, they go up in the attic, they drag out Grandma's old pictures and all that good stuff. You're liable to find anything!"
The 25-mile yard sale will stretch through Bridgeport, Brookside and Lansing, also in front of the Arrowhead Motel and other parts of Morristown as well as many other areas of Belmont County.
For more information, or to get a free "Yard Sale" sign and set up your own table, call the Belmont County Tourism Bureau at 740 695-4359 or log onto www.belmontcountytourism.org.
The Historic National Road Yard Sale is Thursday May 28 through Saturday May 30, from dawn to dusk.
