St. Clairsville, Ohio -- Things got pretty hectic on Interstate 70 in Belmont County late Tuesday afternoon, when separate accidents occurred roughly one mile from each other.
According to Trooper Wilcox of the Ohio Highway Patrol in St. Clairsville, it started when Beverly Cash, 72, of Brookside, Ohio, was attempting to enter the westbound lanes of I-70 via exit 218.
Wilcox said that Cash realized a car was next to her, jerked the wheel, struck the guardrail, bounced and the back tires of a tractor trailer then struck her car.
We're told that Cash along with two passengers were transported with minor injuries.
According to Trooper Moore, a semi truck was stopped due to Cash's accident, when a car driven by Deleion Jackson, 19, of Wheeling was traveling the speed limit up the left lane.
That's when Moore stated that Jackson realized traffic was slowing, he jerked the wheel, struck a semi, spun and then ended up underneath the trailer.
Two people were transported to Wheeling Medical Park with minor injuries.
