No matter where he goes in the Mountain State, the response always seems to be grand.
Tuesday night at Appalachian Power Park was no exception.
Fans lined up from behind homeplate all the way down the third baseline to get an autograph and a picture with former WVU football star Owen Schmitt.
He switched things up a little at the ballpark, tossing out the game's ceremonial first pitch.
It went to the backstop.
Not to worry, his day job seems to be secure.
He's the favorite to win the starting fullback spot on the Seahawks depth chart, after just finishing off a successful OTA with Seattle.
Tuesday wasn't his only stop across the state.
Over the weekend Owen jammed out on the guitar at the Clarksburg Amphitheatre, and he's got a football camp setup in Fairmont later this month.
