Next week, twenty contestants will compete with a "live" band as their backup.

Wheeling -- Forty contestants, vying for the top spot in Wheeling Island Idol, were cut in half on Thursday night. Twenty people advance to the quarter finals which will be held next Thursday with a "live" band. Rehersals will begin at 5:00 at the Wheeling Island Showroom. Here are the twenty people who advanced:
