BROOKE COUNTY -- Brooke County Sheriff Richard Ferguson says that six young men have confessed to going "mowing." The Sheriff says that is the latest slang term for doing damage to peoples property.
He says the six smashed windows, mailboxes, ran over signs and simply created havoc around the county including Hooverson Heights, St. John Road and Hooverson Heights.
The six arrested include:
Nathan Johnson, 21 of Wellsburg Joshua Sizemore, 20 of Follansbee Corey Larkins, 20 of Follansbee Rossi Ficca, 25 of Follansbee Jeremy Sizemore, 20 of Follansbee James Alley, 20 of Wellsburg
The sheriff says the men have all been charged with vandalism and destruction of property, but he says because there was so much damage, in excess of $2500 that all six men are now facing felony charges that he says could get them three years in prison.
Ferguson says all six have confessed to the crime spree.
