A man is dead after a van plunges 60 to 70 feet.

Sardis, Ohio -- A man is dead and another person was taken to Wetzel County hospital after their van plunges 60 to 70 feet over a hillside, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.

It happened on State Route 255 just outside of Sardis, according to the OHP.

The van, driven by 41-year-old Robin Wells of Paden City, traveled off the roadway and struck several trees and overturned. She is being treated for her injuries.

The passenger, 49-year-old Gary Wells of Paden City, was killed in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.

i am really sorry to here about this accident gary was a good friend of mine and my family i wish all well to his family and hope god watches over him close

my husband is one of the vol. firemen who was at the scene, and he said t was a horrific sight.. Our familys hearts go out to Robin and all thier family and friends during this very diffcult time. my god help ease thier pain, and help them find a way to accept this.
