Your children are back in school and so is The CARDIAC Project.
It's a statewide initiative that screens students for risk factors for heart disease, diabetes, obesity and high cholesterol. The CARDIAC Project is entering its twelfth year.
Camp New You is a two week camp teaching pre-teens and teenagers healthy lifestyle changes through physical activity and good nutrition.
The fun and activity extend long past the two weeks of camp, and it's an education for the kids and the parents.
Camp New You is just one initiative of the cardiac projects mission. So far, 95,000 children statewide over the last 12 years have been screened.
With your consent, your child could participate in a free comprehensive cardiac project screening at school. You'll receive a report with the results and recommendations on how to keep your kids healthy.
