WHEELING -- Do you know what's in your bank account?

Do you really know how much you spend every week?

West Virginia State Treasurer John Perdue wants to make sure you understand how and when to spend and save.

The Women and Money Conference is being held today at Oglebay Park's Wilson Lodge, and hundreds of women and men are attending.

The free conference is meant to help residents, particularly women, learn to how to better manage their money and plan for retirement.

Perdue said his office has been holding these conferences for eight years, and they seem to be working.

WTRF is a proud sponsor of the conference, and Stacy Rich had the honor of introducing the treasurer this morning.

Certified Financial Planner and Author Dee Lee was the guest speaker for the event.
