CHARLESTON -- "Kool-Aid" was being sold on a busy street corner in Charleston Tuesday, but not the kind you'd want to buy.
A group of a dozen activists gathered in Kanawha City in front of the Department of Environmental Protection this afternoon to protest.
They brought with them what they're calling "coal field cool-ade," which represents the slurry water they say is coming out of the faucets of those living near coal mining.
They urge DEP to work harder in protecting resident’s health.
Kathy Cosco with DEP says they do everything in their power to enforce the laws regarding the coal mining industry and protect the environment
