BRIDGEPORT, Ohio -- A vehicle accident in Bridgeport Sunday left several without power for two hours and sent a woman to the hospital.

According to Sgt. Greenwood, of the Ohio Highway Patrol, Lenora Hickman, 58, of Bellaire, was traveling west on National Road in Bridgeport when she drifted left of center.

Greenwood said that's when Hickman sideswiped a vehicle driven by Alexis Dober, 21, of Wheeling.

Hickman continued down the road about a quarter of a mile before going off the road and striking an AEP electric pole across from Riesbeck's Plaza.

The pole snapped in half leaving power customers in the dark.

Hickman was transported to OVMC by Wolfhurst EMS.

Greenwood said the accident may have been caused by a medical condition that Hickman may suffer from.
