MOUNDSVILLE -- One minor injury was reported in a gas plant explosion and fire in Marshall County.
The Marshall County 911 Communications center received a call at about 8:04 a.m. Saturday of an explosion and fire at the Columbia Gas Adaline Pumping Station located at the intersection of Cameron Ridge Road and Fish Creek Road about seven miles south of Cameron.
Authorities say a Columbia Gas employee received a minor injury.
They were treated on scene and released.
There were no evacuations .
Fire units from Cameron, St. Joseph, Limestone, Roberts Ridge and Grandview Fire Departments responded to the call with the Moundsville Volunteer Fire department placed on stand-by.
EMS units from Cameron and Limestone and deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff''s Department along with Marshall County Emergency Management personnel responded.
The cause of the explosion is unknown at this time and officials from Columbia Gas were on scene trying to determine its cause.
