BARNESVILLE, Ohio -- The Barnesville home of Michael Boyed and his daughter destroyed a Nov. 24 fire. No one was home at the time, the Barnesville fire chief said.
The fire broke out at 59786 Barnesville-Somerton Hwy. just before 6 p.m. The entire back side of the home was burning when crews arrived.
The Belmont County Tanker Task Force had to be called in to help. State Route 800 had to be shut down for crews to set up portable tanks to fight the blaze.
The fire was out at around 8 p.m., the chief added.
Boyed and his wife are staying with his mother. The Red Cross and Salvation Army will be called Wednesday, the same day the Ohio State Fire Marshal will investigate.
