Wheeling, Ohio County -- People were getting a jump start on storm supplies Friday.
True Value Hardware on Washington Avenue spent the morning stocking the shelves. "It's been very busy today," said Don Meredith, owner of True Value Hardware. "People are coming in and getting snow melt."
Snow melt and shovels were popular items in preparation of the weather. "I just came today to get some rock salt," said Mill C. Bright of St. Clairsville, Ohio. "Hopefully it won't be like last week. I'd rather drive in snow than ice, that's for sure."
This is the first significant snow fall with expected accumulation. With last weekend's ice storm, many people are getting prepared.
According to Meredith, Potassium Chloride is actually the quickest way to melt ice.
