ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio -- Norman "Bud" Russell, longtime Amateur Radio Emergency Services coordinator, died suddenly at his home Sunday night.
The 69-year-old Russell was a retired teacher from the Bellaire City Schools, and officials say he coordinated Belmont County's amateur radio operators in times of disaster for decades.
Russell was also a Skywarn Weather Spotter for the National Weather Service.
Friends will be received at Wilson Funeral Home in Brookside Wednesday 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m., and a celebration of his life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.
