FAIRMONT -- National Signing Day was more than a month ago, but that hasn't stopped area athletes from committing to continue their athletic career in college.
East Fairmont senior Hunter Wood has signed a letter of intent to wrestle at West Point. Wood won the State Wrestling Championship as a sophomore in 2008. In 2009 he placed third and in his senior year he placed second. Wood says West Point has always been his dream school and has a lot to offer.
"They offer an education that's unsurpassed," said Hunter Wood. "To be able to wrestle at the Division One level and also the military training there."
Wood says he'll be wrestling in the 125-pound weight class for the Black Knights.
