The ceremony took place Saturday in Williamsburg, VA.
Story by Aaron Mesmer
Virginia's new governor finished up his first weekend as the leader of the Commonwealth Sunday.
Tim Kaine was sworn in as Virginia's 70th governor on Saturday in Williamsburg.
More than 4,000 people were on hand to watch the ceremony.
Kaine succeeds fellow Democratic Gov. Mark Warner, who left office with stellar job-approval ratings after serving a single term.
Virginia is the only state where governors cannot serve consecutive terms.
Warner is being discussed as a possible 2008 presidential contender.
