Saturday marked the First Annual Lewis County Spring Soccer Invitational.

JANE LEW -- Eight teams participated in The First Annual Lewis County Spring Soccer Invitational in Jane Lew.

Y-10 teams from Lewis, Preston, Randolph, Barbour and Upshur counties played in the tournament Saturday.

About 300 kids under the age of 10 were out on the fields.

The event was sponsored by Faces of Coal and plans are in the works to continue the invitational year after year.

Organizers say this was great exposure for the kids to play teams they normally wouldn't.
