BENWOOD, Ohio -- The Bellaire Bridge is one step closer to getting demolished as inspections were underway Wednesday.

According to a representative from Delta Demolition, Dykon Explosive Demolition out of Tulsa, Okla., was in Benwood taking measurements of the bridge for planning purposes and to determine how much the bridge will actually be exposed once it falls intot he Ohio River. A man lift was used for the personal inspection to make it easy to measure hard to reach areas.

The expected blast date for the bridge is estimated to be the end of September to early October.

All the hoopla over the wrong contractor. Delta does not own the bridge and the suit initiated here in Idaho will show such. Delta does not have a business license nor does Dykon. Delta offered a sum of money...which they don't have...to try to stop the suit.
