Individuals honored during Tuesday luncheon.

Wheeling, WV --  Thirteen young men and women from all over the Ohio Valley are getting some needed help for their college education.

The scholarship winners were honored at a luncheon today by the Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival Chairman and Committee. Bob Gaudio introduce each of the students which will receive a check for $1,000.00. The money will be used for college expenses. Winners had to meet certain criteria to win the scholarships.

The winners are: Eric Wheeling of St. Clairsville High School; Raeanna Peckens of Buckeye Local High School; Dante Greco of Weirton Madonna High School; Mariah Ludovici of Oak Glen High School; Joseph Nazzaro of Wheeling Park High School; Bethany Cogley of Wheeling Park High School; Lisa Mazzella of Brooke High School; Perry Casinelli of Brooke High School; Tori Padlow of John Marshall High School; Cora Defazio of Bishop Donahue High School; Thomas Cominsky of Buckeye Local High School and Leian Riggs of Martins Ferry High School

Please correct my son's name in the Italian Festival article. It should read Eric WHEELER instead of Eric Wheeling. Thank You! Christine Wheeler
