Maximum sentence given on each count.
Uhrichsville, Ohio -- Thomas Thornton, 36, formerly of Uhrichsville, Ohio, pled guilty Wednesday to two counts of kidnapping and two counts of rape related to the June 15, 2008 abduction and sexual abuse of two Dover, Ohio sisters, ages 7 and 8 years-old.
Judge Edward O'Farrell sentenced Thornton to 40 years in prison without the possibility of early release in a plea deal between prosecutors and the defense.
The sentence represents the maximum sentence on each count. O’Farrell also classified Thornton as a tier three sex offender, which is the most serious classification.
