Body Sent to Medical Examiner's Office in Charleston

Story by Jerry Echemann

BRIDGEPORT, WV -- The death of a former Wetzel County resident, Adam Hommer, has been confirmed by the Harrison County, WV, Sheriff's Department. Circumstances remain something of a mystery.

According to Sgt. W. Sothen, Hommer is believed to have been living in or near Bridgeport, WV, and was involved in an auto accident. But Sothen added, "We are not sure what caused this death." Sothen indicated the death was either reported, or may have taken place, after the accident itself.

He did say that Hommer was around 19-years-old, and was from Wetzel County. An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.

I think it was wrong of 7 News for putting on the News about Adams death. 7 had no right to get on the and say it was a car accident. Were you guys get your info? Because the police wouldn't even tell the family anything. But they would tell you guess that it might have been a car accident related? 7 news should cast on the air for the trouble and misleading information that was broadcasted on the air.
