A town in the Ohio Valley is getting statewide recognition as a clean community.
BEECH BOTTOM -- The village of Beech Bottom is one of six West Virginia communities named as a winner of the 2009 Clean Communities award. The award is given by the state department of environmental protection. Beech Bottom was judged in several categories, including cleanup, recycling, youth participation, and beautification.
The village will receive two road signs designating it a clean community.
