Tough conditions for firefighters to battle a house fire.

MCMECHEN -- McMechen firefighters battled a house fire at 41 sixth street in McMechen today.

Firefighters say there was smoke and fire damage to the kitchen of the structure.

The fire started around 10:30 am.

Firefighters say the homeowner arrived to see flames shooting out of the kitchen and her entire house filled with smoke.

Firefighters knocked down the fire quickly and say they believe it was electrical.
