ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio -- There are signs that Bridgeport Police Chief Chad Dojack, charged in the celebrity surrogate scandal, could enter a plea agreement this week in a Belmont County courtroom.
A new pre-trial date is set for Thursday and Special Prosecutor Shawn Hervey confirmed that jury notices have not been sent out for the January 12th trial date.
Sources also said Bridgeport council has called a meeting for Jan. 14 to decide the fate of Dojack's job. The chief is collecting a paycheck despite having not been on the job since the scandal broke.
It's likely that Dojack would plead guilty to a lesser charge, but its not clear what that charge would be.
