Bob Rovnanik joined WTRF in 2011 as the Internet Content Director.
In this position, Bob helps to improve the day-to-day content of www.wtrf.com.
Bob graduated from Bethany College in May, 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. While at Bethany, Bob was very active in the Communication department. He served as General Manager of the campus television station BCTV-14 from August 2008 to May 2011. As General Manager, Bob also hosted his own sports show, "Riding the Pine." He also was a four-year member of football team at Bethany. He started his first two years with the program on the offensive line but served as a coach his last two due to a career-ending condition. Bob was also a member of the Psi Chapter of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.
Bob started an internship in early 2010 with WTRF. There, he learned the responsibilities of a sports reporter while shadowing Scott Nolte and Mike Anthony as well as what happens behind the camera of a newscast.
Bob is originally from and currently lives in Springdale, PA, near Pittsburgh. During his free time, he is an avid weight lifter and a humongous sports fan. He is also a lifelong diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. His dad, Joe, is a season ticket holder and one of Bob's favorite things to do is go to Heinz Field on Sunday with his dad. In addition, Bob also roots for the Florida Gators, Pittsburgh Pirates and the Miami Heat. He is also a huge Michael Jackson fan.
