The Bellaire Big Reds rallied for a 30-27 victory over the Edison Wildcats at Nelson Field on Saturday afternoon.
Bellaire sophomore quarterback Spencer Badia completed 12-of-24 passes for 255 yards and four touchdowns. He tossed three of his TDs in the second half. Juwan Whetstone hauled in four passes for 150 yards and two TDs--covering 77 and 52 yards. Chuckie Myers and Manny Ray caught the other scoring strikes.
Dalton Conroy's 20-yard field goal with 1:08 left in the fourth quarter proved to be the winning points, as the Big Reds scored 17 unanswered points.
Edison's Kyle Minger made seven catches for 147 yards and two TDs.
The Big Reds improve to 5-4 on the season,and await a visit from arch-rival Martins Ferry next Saturday afternoon.
