PARKERSBURG -

OU Eastern ran into a first half buzz saw in the first twenty minutes as WVU Parkersburg controlled the first half and forced 14 first half OUE turnovers en route to a 42-32 halftime lead.

However, the youthful Panthers did not put their heads down.  They picked themselves up and rode the energy of senior Allie Doan and the shooting of freshman Alex Kuhn to explode for 55 second half points to win going away 87-82.

Doan, the former Barnesville Shamrock was held to two first half points, but heated up like a microwave in scoring 22 second half points to finish with a game high of 24 markers.  Doan also recorded five rebounds and four steals.

Monroe Central freshman Kuhn supported Doan with 23 points, which included a 10-10 showing at the stripe.  Kuhn played a fine all around game and finished with six boards and five steals as well.

Barnesville's Heidi Hines and River's Alexa Isaly finished with 10 points each.

OUE improved to 16-3 with the victory.  The Panthers next game is at home this Saturday, January 28 versus league rival OSU Newark at 1p.m..
