In their first home game since the announcement of the sale of the team , the Wheeling Nailers fell to the Reading Royals 4-2 , Friday night.
3,396 fans showed up to show their support of the team that has been in the friendly city for 20 years.
The Nailers will host Kalamazoo on Saturday night.
We should know more about the sale of the team next week. Nailers Vice President Craig Bommer told us , "We're finishing up the non-disclosures, we expect them all in today. Then, hopefully, by Monday, we can have some financial papers out to all the interested buyers, and they can start to review them."
Right now there are five groups looking in to buying the club, three of which are from the local area.
