MARTINS FERRY, Ohio -

Eight people are behind bars tonight thanks to the Belmont County Drug Task Force after a drug sweep in Martins Ferry.

According to Martins Ferry Police Chief John McFarland the task force made arrests on charges that stemmed from cocaine to prescription medication.

Seven of these individuals were charged with trafficking, but only one of them with felony possession.

McFarland says they also were able to recover cash, drugs and other contraband.
