
The Wheeling Park boys basketball team ran its record to 11-4 with a 70-45 victory over arch-rival John Marshall at the Moundsville Fieldhouse on Saturday night.
The victory was head coach Michael Jebbia's 12th straight over the Monarchs.
Senior Boo Lathon led Wheeling Park with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Senior Emil Popicg added 14 points, junior Andrew Kowalo scored 9. John Marshall was led in scoring by senior big man Justin Wade with 17 points.
Meantime, in Wheeling, Morgantown Trinity defeated Wheeling Central by the final score of 78-57. The Maroon Knights, who fell to 1-16 on the season, were led David Park's 18 points. Trinity, now 13-5, received 17 points from Cody Triplett and 15 from Tommy Retton.
