A Weirton man is behind bars after being sentenced on five counts of ''Child Abuse Causing Bodily Injury.''
Hancock County Prosecuting Attorney ,David F. Cross said Lawrence Kenneth Miller, 34 of 3128 Elm Street, Weirton was sentenced to serve not less than 10 but not more than 50 years in the West Virginia Penitentiary.
Authorities said the charges stemmed from incidents which occurred between Jan.1 2010 and Aug. 15, 2010 in Hancock County when it was alleged that he had inappropriate sexual contact with a 14 year old girl.
Miller was remanded to the custody of the Division of Corrections to begin serving his sentence right away.
