
A four-goal third period lifted the Wheeling Nailers to a 7-5 win over the Reading Royals on Sunday afternoon at the Nailers home-away-from home, the Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown.
The Nailers went into the third period trailing 4-3, but scored three consecutive goals in a span of 1:09. Ben Farrer (8), Olivier Dame-Malka (7), and Denver Manderson (13), gave the Nailers a 6-4 lead in the blink of a eye.
Wheeling's Cody Chupp had a four-point game with a goal (13) and three assists. Chris Barton added his-team leading 23rd goal and an assist.
The victory, along with an Elmira loss, moves the Nailers into first place in the Atlantic Division with 60 points.
