Fort Frye junior Shon Smith poured in 35 points to help lead his Cadets over No.1 seed Magnolia 64-51 to win the OVAC Class 3A championship game at the Wheeling Hospital OVAC boys basketball championships at Ohio University Eastern.

Fort Frye is a repeat champion, having won last year's Class 2A title.  Magnolia was the defending 3A champs.

The Cadets scored the game's final 16 points from the free throw line to improve to 16-3 on the season.

6-6 junior Mark Winters paced Magnolia with 16 points, senior Hunter Campbell added a dozen, as the Blue Eagles slip to 17-3.
