Main Street Bank officials and employees took shovels in hand and broke ground for their newest branch.
At 112 N. LaFayette Avenue, Moundsville, it is along Route 2 across from Perkins Restaurant.
It will employ eight new people and the building will be 2200 square feet.
Main Street opened its first bank in 2001, and with the completion of the Marshall County branch, they'll have a total of 50 employees.
"Well, we're very excited to come to Moundsville and Marshall County," says Joe Donahue, Main Street Bank vice president. "I've worked here 39 years and this is a great opportunity for the bank to come in and serve the local consumer customers and the business community."
They plan to open the Moundsville branch in mid-summer.
