
U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan announced Wednesday that HUD will speed federal disaster assistance to the State of West Virginia and provide support to homeowners and low-income renters forced from their homes following severe storms, tornadoes, flooding, mudslides and landslides back in February and March.
Last week, President Barack Obama issued a disaster declaration for various counties across West Virginia.
The president's declaration allows HUD to offer foreclosure relief and other assistace to certain families living in those counties.
