Brenda Danehart joined the WTRF News team in 1981 as a reporter.
She held the position of anchor, reporter, producer for 20 years before being named the news director at WTRF. She is co-host of the Easter Seals Telethon and hosted the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon for 25 years. She is an active community member serving on the Harmony House Board and Woodsdale Local Schools Improvement Council.
She is a huge animal lover with four pets of her own.
Brenda is a lifelong resident of Wheeling, She is married to David Gessler, a retired Wheeling policeman.
They have three children.
