Wheeling City Council Right to Honor Veterans - WTRF 7 News Sports Weather - Wheeling Steubenville

We owe our men and women in the armed forces so much, and Wheeling City Council is right to name a baseball field at Patterson Recreational Park for Fallen Army Capt. David VanKamp.

Last year, Capt. VanKamp, who is from Elm Grove, was killed in a rocket attack in Iraq.

He, like so many others, gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend not only this country, but the way of life we hold so dear.

When we honor his memory and his service, we honor all of our veterans.
